The Bucs' tight end, and Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement on Tuesday, potentially paving the way for an event that Tampa Bay fans can only hope is the most well-known double reverse in NFL history.

In conjunction with the announcement there was, however, an ounce of optimism in the eyes of Bucs fans as two lines from his agent Drew Rosenhaus.

"It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call," Rosenhaus said to the ESPN's Adam Schefter via text.
