Got Talent: World’s Best Talent Finder Show

What Is Got Talent TV Show?

The Got Talent show is a British talent show TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell’s SYCOtv company. It has spawned spin-offs in over 69 countries, in what is now referred to as the ‘Got Talent’ format,  similar to that described by Fremantle of the Idol and The X Factor formats. Unlike those shows, Got Talent (influenced by the variety of talent shows Opportunity Knocks and New Faces) showcases other artistic disciplines in addition to singing.

The program is currently broadcast in over 130 countries. The first series of the program aired in the UK on 15 September 2007. It is broadcast on ITV, and it is shown in several other countries. The first Got Talent series was won by the Mozambique duo Lizy and Nelson, who performed their traditional Mozambican dance called “Chapa de Sábado” (“Saturday’s dance”). The duo’s performance was chosen as the winner, and they were given a £50,000 prize and a record deal.
