WWE Reportedly Releases Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks and Naomi left the Tag Team competition after claiming that they were not respected enough as Tag Team Competitions.

WWE has reportedly released Sasha Banks

The news comes a month after Banks walks out during an episode of WWE Raw in May with her tag team partner Naomi.

This happened over creative differences and feeling that the WWE women’s tag team division was not being taken seriously.

The news was first reported by Wrestling Inc Founder Raj Giri who was however not sure if the release had been requested by Sasha or a decision taken on WWE’s end.

In May, WWE issued a statement on both Banks and Naomi leaving and subsequently suspended the pair.

WWE mentioned that during the broadcast, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis office and decided to leave the competition.

The issue was due to the fact that Monday Night Raw is a scripted live TV show, whose characters are expected to perform the requirements of their contract.”

Banks was a face of the women’s division’s renaissance in the past decade and also main evented WrestleMania.

“The Boss” first became a star in WWE NXT, where she had a feud with Bayley.

Banks also ventured into the world of acting as she appeared in two episodes of The Mandalorian as Koska Reeves.
